Is this a licensed bakery?

We operate as a Florida cottage food business. We do not need a state food permit or a commercial kitchen as long as we follow F.S. 500.80.

Do you get inspected?

Cottage food kitchens are exempt from routine state food-safety inspection. FDACS can look into a complaint.

Can you ship?

Florida allows direct-to-consumer sales, including online orders. We only sell cottage-food products that are labeled and packaged. We do not sell wholesale to stores.

Why is your home address on the label?

Florida requires the cottage food operation’s name and address on the package. That is the kitchen address, not a P.O. box.

What about allergens?

Labels list ingredients and the major allergens in that product. If you have a severe allergy, read the label. We bake in a home kitchen that may handle wheat, milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, and sesame.

Can I buy this at a grocery store?

No. Cottage food cannot be sold wholesale to retailers.
